Job summary

Sovereign Network Group is seeking an experienced Carpenter Multi to join the Property Team serving North Hants, Basingstoke & Surrey. The role includes traveling with a company van and fuel card, 40 hours per week, and opportunities for overtime to boost earnings.

The ideal candidate will have NVQ Level 2 or 5 years of proven carpentry experience, plus a strong health and safety mindset and housing sector experience. A full driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 carpentry qualification or 5+ years proven carpentry experience.
• Experience in residential/housing sector preferred.
• Strong health and safety mindset and practices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry repairs in Sovereign Network Group properties as part of Repairs Team.
• 1st and 2nd fix carpentry; install windows, doors, and door frames (internal and external).
• Provide UPVC servicing and installation; locksmithing and entry techniques as needed.
• Fencing, posts, feather edge, chain link and panel installation; minor joinery.
• Kitchen fitting and building; other maintenance tasks including plumbing, tiling and decorating.

As you'll spend a fair amount of time on the road we will provide you with a business use van and fuel card so you'll not be out of pocket.What you'll do:As a Carpenter you will carry out all forms of carpentry repairs in our properties as part of our Repairs Team and elsewhere depending on demands.1st fix and 2nd fix carpentryInstall windows, doors, door frames - Internal and external.UPVC servicing and installationLocksmithing and gaining entry via lock snapping, drilling and picking.All types of fencing, posts, feather edge, chain link and panels.Kitchen fitting, kitchen building and minor joinery.Other duties to include basic plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating and other general maintenance tasksWhat you'll need:You should have experience within a similar role, ideally from within a Residential/Housing sector and must be qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 2 OR have a minimum of 5 years proven track record working in carpentry.Have a strong health and safety mindset with knowledge of health & safety best practices.
