Job summary

Multi Trades Recruitment Ltd is seeking experienced Carpenters/Joiners to carry out reactive maintenance and repair works across social housing properties in South Manchester and surrounding areas. You will work on occupied and void properties with a focus on high-quality finish.

The role includes responsive duties across multiple properties, requires CSCS, DBS preferred, own tools, and a full UK driving licence. Van or fuel card provided; on-call rota may occur; start December 2026.

Qualifications

• Qualified / time-served carpenter/joiner.
• Valid CSCS card required.
• DBS ideally (can be obtained before start).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Own tools required.
• Experience in social housing/reactive maintenance is preferred.
• Experience working in occupied and void properties.

Responsibilities

• Installing and repairing internal and external doors, frames and ironmongery.
• Second-fix joinery, including skirting boards, architraves and boxing-in.
• Kitchen fitting, including units, worktops and associated joinery.
• Repairing and replacing damaged floorboards and timber structures.
• Installing and repairing locks, hinges, handles and door closers.
• General carpentry repairs across occupied and void properties.
• Completing reactive maintenance jobs across multiple properties.
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
• Following all health & safety procedures.

Multi Trades Recruitment is looking for Experienced Carpenters / Joiners to begin work for a well-established social housing maintenance company covering South Manchester and surrounding areas.

About the Role:

• Working Hours - Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm (Sporadic on call rota)
• Pay Rate - £25.00 per hour
• Duration - Up to 8 years contract for the right candidate
• Location - South Manchester - Altrincham, Wythenshawe, Cheadle, Wilmslow and surrounding areas
• Start Date - Early December 2026
