18 Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Carpenter/Joiner for a permanent role within social housing repairs and maintenance in the United Kingdom. The role requires reliable, skilled workmanship in first- and second-fix carpentry, a valid UK driving licence, and a DBS check.

Qualificações

• Proven experience as a Carpenter / Joiner within repairs and maintenance.
• Experience working within social housing is highly desirable.
• Skilled in both first-fix and second-fix carpentry.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Must possess own basic trade tools.
• Clean DBS check.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Commitment to delivering high standards of workmanship.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out responsive repairs and planned maintenance works within social housing properties.
• Hang, ease, and adjust internal and external doors.
• Repair and replace locks, hinges, handles, and other ironmongery.
• Install and repair kitchens, worktops, cabinets, and units.
• Fit skirting boards, architraves, door frames, and other finishing carpentry.
• Undertake flooring repairs and installations, including laminate and timber flooring.
• Repair and replace fencing, gates, and external timber structures.
• Carry out UPVC door and window repairs where required.
• Complete minor multi-trade works and make‑good repairs following maintenance activities.
• Ensure work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
• Deliver excellent customer service when working in tenants' homes.
• Accurately complete job records and documentation.

Are you an experienced Carpenter / Joiner looking for a secure, long-term opportunity within the social housing sector? We are recruiting for a skilled tradesperson to join a busy repairs and maintenance team delivering high-quality work across occupied and void social housing properties.

This is a permanent role offering a company van, fuel card, and the opportunity to work for a well-established organisation with a consistent workload.
