Job summary

Think Recruitment is seeking an experienced Carpenter for a leading London based Local Authority in North London. This is an ongoing temporary contract with 35 hours per week at £25.10 per hour, paid weekly via umbrella.

Starting ASAP for an initial 3-month rolling contract with potential to go permanent. Duties include reactive repairs, doors/kitchens timber work, fire door inspections, multi-trade tasks, locksmith duties and glazing repairs. Health & Safety compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have full UK driving license.
• Reactive repairs experience within social housing environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver reactive repairs across occupied residential properties.
• Complete carpentry works including doors, kitchens, and structural timber repairs.
• Undertake fire door inspections, repairs, and compliance upgrades.
• Carry out multi-trade tasks including plastering, tiling, plumbing, and decorating.
• Perform locksmith duties including lock changes and repairs.
• Complete glazing repairs and sealing works to residential units.
• Use PDA systems to record work orders and job completion in real time.
• Follow strict Health & Safety procedures on all sites.
• Work closely with supervisors and planners to meet deadlines.
