Job summary

NHS Highland is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the preparation, cooking and serving of meals for residents in a care setting. You will follow a six week menu plan, maintain high cleanliness, and ensure infection control standards are met.

Shifts run on a three-week rota from 9:00 to 16:45, with occasional weekend work; weekend enhancements are paid. Applicants should have experience in working with people in a care environment and be willing to undertake relevant training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve nutritious meals and snacks to residents.
• Follow a six week menu plan.
• Maintain a clean environment and comply with infection control standards.
• Shifts follow a three week rota: 9:00-16:45, 9:00-16:00, 9:00-15:00.
• Assist with training as required.
