Wood Care Group is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support residents by preparing meals and maintaining high kitchen standards. You will help ensure meals are nutritious, safe, and served with care in a busy care home environment.

The role requires reliability, kindness, and excellent communication with residents and staff. Training and development opportunities are provided, with shifts to suit the home timetable.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a care home environment is desirable but not essential.
• Experience of working in a busy kitchen environment.
• A committed and organised approach.
• A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible to work shifts.

Responsibilities

• Attend staff meetings as required.
• Maintain personal and professional development to meet home needs and training.
• Safeguarding responsibilities and whistleblowing policies observed.
• Provide evidence of any untaken training.
• Comply with fire procedures and health and safety legislation.
