HC-One is hiring a Kitchen Assistant for full-time shifts (3 on/3 off) to prepare and serve nutritious meals, supporting Residents with their dietary needs and comfort. You will help maintain kitchen hygiene, follow recipes, and assist with safety training and safeguarding requirements.

Ideal candidates have some kitchen experience and may hold NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation, or are willing to work towards it, with a strong sense of kindness and teamwork.

Formación

• Some kitchen experience and a real passion for helping others.
• NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation or willingness to work towards it is required.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to follow recipes.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with meal preparation under the Chef or Cook's direction.
• Serve meals with warmth and respect in a timely manner.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene for equipment and surfaces.
• Monitor and record food storage temperatures.
• Support stock rotation and proper storage of ingredients.
• Show new team members how to safely use kitchen equipment.
• Wash up and keep the kitchen spotless after busy periods.
