Hutchinson Care Homes is seeking a Catering Assistant to provide a safe, homely environment and a high standard of care in our Northern Ireland care homes. You will assist with food preparation, serve meals, and uphold strict health and safety standards.

Roles include setting tables, assisting with meal service, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and attending mandatory training. Onsite training and progression opportunities are provided, with benefits including free parking and uniform.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the serving of meals
• Prepare vegetables and peel potatoes
• Prepare meals as required by Cook
• Set tables for meals
• Set up tea trolley/trays as required
• Clean the dining room with care and attention
• Wash up after meals and ensure crockery/equipment are cleaned and stored
• Report illnesses or accidents to Home Manager or Person in Charge
• Attend mandatory training days/courses on or off site
• Record meals on Menu Board
