Job summary

Blenheim Schools is seeking a Breakfast & After School Club Assistant for Oakfields Prep in Upminster. The role runs 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 2.15pm–6.15pm, during term time, with a permanent contract.

You will deliver wraparound care, support activities, prepare snacks, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for children after school. The ideal candidate has a passion for working with children, strong teamwork and safeguarding awareness, and can build positive relationships with

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a childcare or school setting.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or related qualification is desirable.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming and supervising pupils at the end of the school day.
• Supporting a variety of fun, creative and age-appropriate activities.
• Preparing and serving healthy snacks and refreshments.
• Encouraging positive behaviour, inclusion and friendship-building.
• Supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing and confidence.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and engaging environment.
• Keeping attendance records and following collection procedures.
• Assisting with the set-up and tidy-up of club areas and resources.
