Job summary

Beech Hall School Ltd is seeking a Breakfast Club Assistant for Oakfields Preparatory School in Upminster. The role runs 10 hours per week, Mon-Fri from 7.00am to 9.00am, during term time, with permanent, term-time-contract conditions.

The successful candidate will support pupils before the school day, help with breakfast service, and create a safe, welcoming environment to start the day with energy and positivity.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
• Experience with children in childcare or school setting desirable.
• Passion for working with children and safeguarding awareness.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming and supervising pupils before the start of the school day.
• Preparing and serving healthy breakfasts and refreshments.
• Creating a warm, friendly and inclusive environment for all children.
• Supporting a range of fun, calm and age-appropriate morning activities.
• Encouraging positive behaviour, independence and social interaction.
• Supporting pupils' wellbeing and helping them start the day positively.
• Maintaining attendance records and following safeguarding procedures.
• Assisting with the set-up and tidy-up of the breakfast club area.

What you will be doing
