Job summary

Swissport at Stansted Airport is hiring a Cargo Warehouse / Ramp Agent to organise warehouse storage and load/unload air cargo. You will follow SOPs, operate equipment and ensure cargo safety and paperwork accuracy.

This role requires flexibility across days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, with a full UK driving licence and basic aviation experience preferred. Training and safety standards are a priority in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load and unload air cargo onto vehicles and storage areas.
• Prepare and palletize cargo as required.
• Ensure cargo paperwork is accurate.

• Comply with Dangerous Goods requirements and regulations.
• Deliver cargo to recipients as needed.
• Provide handling for live animals as required.
• Drive and operate equipment such as vans, forklifts, cargo dollies/trailers.
• Report all equipment malfunctions to supervisor/manager.
• Comply with legislation, airport security, and Swissport SOPs.
• Maintain high safety and security standards at all times.

Overview

As a Cargo Warehouse / Ramp Agent, based at STANSTED airport you will organize warehouse and storage facilities and arrange warehouse handling equipment and load/unload air cargo. You will maintain the required safety and quality standards as well as comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and company policies.

Interviews will take place on 16-10-26 on a invite only basis.

Pay:

Starting Rate: £32,233.50 — £16.53

After Probation: £32,701.50 — £16.77

After 1 Year: £38,668.50 — £19.83

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities

  • Loading and unloading air cargo onto vehicles and storage areas
  • Preparingand palletize cargo as needed
  • Ensuringpaperwork related to the cargo is correct
  • Assuringproper handling and delivery of cargo and operation of related equipment
  • Following Dangerous Goods Requirements and Regulations
  • Delivering air cargo to appropriate recipient if required
  • Providingspecial handling of live animals as required
  • Drivingand/or operate specialist equipment which may include vans, fork lift trucks, cargo dollies/trailers.
  • Reporting all equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor/manager
  • Complying with all relevant legislation and airport authority and carrier security requirements
  • Complying with Swissport Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
  • Maintaining the highest standards of safety and security at all times
  • Other duties as assigned
