Job summary

Swissport International AG at Stansted Airport is hiring a Cargo Warehouse / Ramp Agent to organize storage, load/unload air cargo, and ensure safety and SOP compliance. The role requires shift flexibility, English fluency, and a UK driving licence.

You will operate equipment and assist in dangerous goods handling as part of a fast-paced team. Responsibilities include cargo loading, paperwork accuracy, and safe delivery of cargo, with potential live animal handling and use of forklifts or vans

Qualifications

Overview

As a Cargo Warehouse / Ramp Agent, based at STANSTED airport you will organize warehouse and storage facilities and arrange warehouse handling equipment and load/unload air cargo. You will maintain the required safety and quality standards as well as comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and company policies.

Interviews will take place on 16-10-26 on a invite only basis.

Pay:

Starting Rate: £32,233.50 — £16.53

After Probation: £32,701.50 — £16.77

After 1 Year: £38,668.50 — £19.83

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities

  • Loading and unloading air cargo onto vehicles and storage areas
  • Preparingand palletize cargo as needed
  • Ensuringpaperwork related to the cargo is correct
  • Assuringproper handling and delivery of cargo and operation of related equipment
  • Following Dangerous Goods Requirements and Regulations
  • Delivering air cargo to appropriate recipient if required
  • Providingspecial handling of live animals as required
  • Drivingand/or operate specialist equipment which may include vans, fork lift trucks, cargo dollies/trailers.
  • Reporting all equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor/manager
  • Complying with all relevant legislation and airport authority and carrier security requirements
  • Complying with Swissport Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
  • Maintaining the highest standards of safety and security at all times
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• • Flexible to work a variety of shifts (days, evening, nights, weekends, and public holidays)

  • Ability to travel to the airport at times where public transport is not available
  • Ability to follow processes and procedures and apply flexible approach when required
  • Willingness to work in inclement weather
  • Able to work in a manual environment and repeatedly lift up to 32kg throughout a shift

  • Previous experience working in an aviation environment desirable
