Job summary

Swissport at Manchester International Airport is hiring a Cargo Warehouse Agent on a part-time basis (25 hrs/week on a rota). You will organise warehouse facilities, arrange handling equipment, and load/unload air cargo while upholding SOPs and safety standards. Shifts include days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.

A full UK driving licence is required. Responsibilities include loading/unloading cargo, preparing pallets, ensuring accurate paperwork, and operating equipment.

Qualifications

• Ability to travel to the airport when public transport is unavailable
• Ability to follow processes and procedures and apply a flexible approach
• Willingness to work in inclement weather

• Previous experience in aviation is desirable

Responsibilities

• Following Dangerous Goods requirements and regulations
• Delivering air cargo to recipients as required
• Providing special handling of live animals as required
• Operating equipment such as vans, forklift trucks, cargo dollies/trailers
• Reporting equipment malfunctions to supervisors
• Complying with legislation, airport security and SOPs
• Maintaining high safety and security standards
• Other duties as assigned

As a Swissport Cargo Warehouse Agent ( part time ) at Manchester International Airport you will organize warehouse and storage facilities and arrange warehouse handling equipment and load/unload air cargo. You will maintain the required safety and quality standards as well as comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and company policies.

PART TIME: 25HRS PER WEEK ON A ROTA

Shifts will include days and nights and will incorporate weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading air cargo onto vehicles and storage areas
• Preparing and palletize cargo as needed
• Ensuring paperwork related to the cargo is correct
• Assuring proper handling and delivery of cargo and operation of related equipment
• Following Dangerous Goods Requirements and Regulations
• Delivering air cargo to appropriate recipient if required
• Providing special handling of live animals as required
• Driving and/or operate specialist equipment which may include vans, fork lift trucks, cargo dollies/trailers.
• Reporting all equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor/manager
• Complying with all relevant legislation and airport authority and carrier security requirements
• Complying with Swissport Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
• Maintaining the highest standards of safety and security at all times
• Other duties as assigned
