Freightliner Ltd is seeking a Cargo Handler for our Southampton site to support loading and unloading import and cargo using bespoke technology. You will work in a safety‑focused environment with health and safety as the top priority, and responsibilities include handling containers in line with customer requirements.

The role demands a full UK driving licence and prior experience operating a counterbalance forklift.

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Strong health and safety awareness.
• Experience operating a counterbalance forklift.
• Experience loading and unloading cargo.

Responsabilités

• Safely load and unload import/export cargo in line with procedures.
• Carry out inspections of containers prior to loading and on arrival.
• Complete documentation accurately and within required timescales.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety.
• Use tools, machinery and PPE correctly at all times.
• Follow risk assessments and safe systems of work.
