TeacherActive is recruiting a Caretaker for a secondary school in Pontypridd. You will be responsible for opening and securing premises, carrying out maintenance, and keeping buildings and grounds clean and safe for pupils, staff and visitors.

The role operates on a weekly rotating shift pattern (6:00am and 11:00am starts) on a temporary contract. A proactive, reliable candidate with practical DIY skills and good health and safety knowledge is sought.

• Previous experience working as a Caretaker is essential, although this does not need to be within a school setting.
• Good practical maintenance and general DIY skills.
• An understanding of health and safety procedures.
• The ability to work independently and use initiative.
• A reliable, hardworking and flexible approach.
• Availability to work both morning and afternoon shifts on a weekly rota.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a Secondary School in Pontypridd, who are looking for an experienced and dependable Caretaker to join their site team.

The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the school premises are safe, secure and well-maintained for pupils, staff and visitors.

The role will involve working on a weekly rotating shift pattern, alternating between morning shifts starting at 6:00am and afternoon shifts starting at 11:00am.

Key Responsibilities
