Job summary

Vertas Group is seeking a dedicated Caretaker to join the Facilities Team at St Swithuns C of E Primary Academy, Retford. The role runs 3:30pm–6:00pm, Monday to Friday, totaling 12.5 hours weekly, year-round, to oversee maintenance and cleanliness.

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service, be a team player, and be able to work independently while following Health and Safety procedures. DBS checks and safeguarding compliance are required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out day to day maintenance and minor repairs.

• Monitoring site stocks and undertaking cleaning duties.
• Attending training including Health and Safety; training provided.

About the Role:
Based at St Swithuns C of E Primary Academy, Retford, DN226LD you will be working 3:30pm - 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, 12.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. You'll play a key role in providing high quality caretaking services to oversee maintenance and cleanliness.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out day to day maintenance and minor repairs.
• Making sure that heating, lighting and alarm systems are working properly.
• Carrying out and recording basic checks and maintaining Health and Safety records.
• Monitoring site stocks and undertaking cleaning duties.
• Demonstrating Health and Safety awareness and having a willingness to attend training courses including Health and Safety, all training will be provided.
• Opening and securing the premises as required.
