Job summary

Vertas Group is seeking a dedicated Caretaker at Albany Junior School, Stapleford. The role covers day-to-day maintenance, cleaning, painting, and safety checks across a school site with safeguarding clearance requirements.

Hours are 35 per week, Monday to Friday, split across early and late shifts, year-round. The post requires a proactive, reliable team player who can work with minimal supervision and maintain health and safety records.

This Caretaker post sits in the Facilities Team at Vertas Group, based at Albany Junior School in Stapleford. The work covers day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs, cleaning, painting and decorating, checking heating, lighting and alarm systems, and keeping health and safety records. The hours are split into early morning and late afternoon blocks, Monday to Friday, 35 hours a week, all year round. Enhanced DBS and children's barred list checks apply, as the school setting requires safeguarding clearance.
