Your new company

Your new job role is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and professional Estates team as a Site Assistant with responsibility as a key holder. You will be working within a small estates team for a further education establishment based in the Macclesfield area.

Your new role

1. Carrying out planned maintenance and repair work on college grounds and buildings.
2. Ensuring site management, safety, and security are maintained at all times.
3. Car park attendance during open and closing hours of the building.

What you'll need to succeed

• Full UK Driving License
• Experience in basic maintenance and general repair work, including manual handling techniques
• Industry experience in a relevant trade (advantageous)
• Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check
• References covering the past 5 years
• Experience within a public sector organization (preferred)
• Shift work, some evening work, and occasional weekends
• A 'flexible can-do' approach, with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and use initiative in response to changing work demands
• Good health and safety awareness and safe working practices
• First Aid at Work certificate (preferred or willingness to undertake)

• Shift pattern alternating weekly between early and late shifts:
  1. Early Shift: Mon-Thu 06:00 - 14:00, Fri 07:00 - 14:30
  2. Late Shift: Mon 10:30 - 18:30, Tue-Wed 13:30 - 21:30, Thu (normal) 10:30 - 18:30, Thu (events) 12:00 - 20:00, Fri 09:30 - 17:00
