About The Role

Herald Lodge is seeking a Caretaker with proven experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning, and housekeeping. Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems is required, along with ideally some IT skills. The ability to communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues is essential.

The Caretaker will ensure residents live in a well-maintained environment through proactive inspections and record-keeping. Responsibilities include replacing taps, fitting extractor fans, repairing windows, and decorating, all carried out with kindness and professionalism.

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know the procedures to follow if concerns arise. Attendance at safeguarding training and the ability to seek advice and escalate concerns are required.
