Job summary

A local primary school in Cardiff is seeking a part-time School Caretaker to ensure the security and maintenance of the school premises. Job Title: School Caretaker / Grade 4

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 11 hours per week (7.30-8.30am; 5.00-6.00pm; 1 hour caretaking duties)

Starting Salary: Grade 4 SCP 6-11 (£25,989- £28,142) Pro Rata

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the security and general maintenance of the school, including opening and closing the buildings.
  • Manage traffic flow into the car park and ensure site security.
  • Undertake all relevant health and safety checks as well as general maintenance and cleaning duties where required.
  • Move and set up equipment and liaise with contractors whilst on site.
  • Be flexible in approach, able to work effectively, and available for call outs on weekends, evenings and bank holidays. May be required to work additional hours.
