Job summary

N-Compass in Staffordshire is seeking a Carers Support & Wellbeing Advisor to help unpaid carers access information, services and opportunities that improve their wellbeing. The role is community-based, combining one-to-one support, outreach, workshops and partnership work.

You will be empathetic with strong communication skills; full training and support will be provided. 37 hours a week, hybrid work, salary £26,117 per annum plus ongoing benefits, with enhanced DBS check required.

Qualifications

• Empathy and strong communication skills are essential.
• Experience in health and social care, housing, community services, customer service, education, charity or voluntary sector roles may provide transferable skills.

Responsibilities

• Support carers through person-centred conversations and support planning.
• Help carers access services, peer support and community opportunities.
• Facilitate groups, workshops and events.
• Raise awareness of carers' rights and available support.
• Build relationships with local organisations and community partners.
