Job summary

Care for the Carers in East Sussex invites applications for a Carer Support Worker. You will offer information, support, advice and guidance to carers and provide one-to-one and group support by phone, online and face-to-face, working with NHS, Social Care and voluntary sector partners.

The post is fixed term until 30 April 2028, with up to 21 hours per week and hybrid working by agreement. A DBS check, six-month probation and references are required, with travel within East Sussex to Hastings

Job description

Care for the Carers – Carer Support Worker

Up to 21 hours per week

Salary: £16,232 per annum, based on 21 hours per week (full time salary equivalent £28,598 per annum based on 37 hours per week)

Contract term: Fixed Term until 30/4/28 with the possibility of becoming permanent

Primary Location: Eastbourne, Uckfield and/or Hastings, East Sussex. Hybrid working available by agreement.

The post will involve travel within East Sussex, particularly to Hastings and Rother areas working across a range of community settings.

Closing date: Monday 20th July at 12 noon. Interviews will be held on Wednesday 29th July.

You will work alongside our dedicated Carer Support Team making a real difference to carers’ lives across East Sussex by providing them with information, support, advice and guidance. The work includes the provision of one-to-one and group support by phone, online and face-to-face, as well as working with our partners in the NHS, Social Care and the voluntary sector.
