Job summary

Porthaven Care Homes is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant for Bourne Wood Manor in Farnham. You will care for residents’ physical, social and emotional wellbeing, supporting daily living activities and mealtimes in a warm, family-like environment.

We value compassion, reliability, and strong communication. Full training and ongoing development are provided by our Learning & Development team. A DBS check and right to work in the UK are required.

Full Time DAYS Position - 36 Hours Weekly - 12 Hour Shifts - 8am to 8pm - Alternative Weekends

About the Role:

You will care for our residents as though they are your own family, ensuring the physical, social, mental and emotional wellbeing.
Daily responsibilities in this role include:

• Respect each resident as an individual, tailoring care to their personal needs and preferences according to their care plan.
• Support residents with daily living activities including; washing, toileting, dressing and grooming.
• Promote choice, dignity, and independence through person-centred care.
• Support residents during mealtimes and ensure they have access to food and refreshments whenever they wish
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families through kindness, empathy, and compassion with residents.
