Job summary

West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) is seeking an Enterprise Coordinator to join the Birmingham Careers Hub and wider WMCA Careers Hub network. You will connect schools, colleges, training providers and employers to equip young people with the skills and experiences they need to make informed decisions about their futures.

You’ll work with schools, governors and local businesses to drive progress using Gatsby Benchmarks and the Careers Impact System, monitoring impact and delivering training

Qualifications

• Proven track record working with schools, colleges and employers.
• Experience in stakeholder management and education/careers.
• Experience implementing the Gatsby Benchmarks Framework.
• Understanding challenges in delivering careers education.
• Knowledge of national/local policies relating to skills and employment.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support schools and colleges in developing their Careers Provision, connecting them with employers and Enterprise Advisers (EAs).
• Build strong relationships with senior leaders in education, including governors.
• Facilitate partnerships between schools, colleges, employers, and other stakeholders to improve career outcomes for young people.
• Drive progress using frameworks such as the Gatsby Benchmarks and the Careers Impact System.
• Monitor and evaluate careers programmes to ensure quality and impact.
• Represent the Careers Hub at networking events and through stakeholder engagement.
• Deliver training and share best practices with the education and business communities.
• Recruit, train, and support a diverse network of EAs Enterprise Advisers (EAs) (Business Volunteers), matching them with schools and colleges to address their specific needs.
