Kido is hiring a Deputy Room Leader at Blackwater - Hawley Green, Blackwater, GU17 9BS. The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with a salary of £27,000–£30,000 per year.

You will work closely with the Room Leader to maintain high standards of care and education and support safeguarding and curriculum development. Ideal candidates hold a Level 2/3 childcare qualification and English qualifications at Level 2.

Qualifikationen

• Must hold a relevant childcare qualification, Level 2/3 minimum.
• Level 2 qualifications in English including functional skills are required if a Level 3 qualification was obtained after 2014.

What we’re looking for

For the Deputy Room Leader role, it is essential that you hold a relevant childcare qualification, Level 2/3 minimum and experience in Early Years settings. Level 2 qualifications in English including functional skills are also a must if you obtained a Level 3 qualification after 2014.

What you’ll be doing!

• Work collaboratively with your Room Leader to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day activities by communicating key information to team members and parents
• Be a positive role model by inspiring outstanding teaching and learning every day
• Support Leading your team’s performance reviews by giving supportive feedback, setting clear SMART goals, and encouraging them to grow and reach their next steps
• Work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) ensuring the safety and welfare of all children is always prioritised and at the heart of everything we do
• Support Leading an ambitious curriculum for your room making sure that everyone is striving for outstanding in their education delivery
• Ensure that the key person approach is well embedded in your room and every child also has both a key person and a buddy key person
• Take pride in your development by ensuring you access continued professional development opportunities and encourage your team to do so
