Job summary

Kido Blackwater Nursery & Preschool in the UK is hiring a Deputy Nursery Manager to lead daily operations at the Blackwater site. The role offers a salary of £33,000–£39,000 per year, plus a discretionary bonus, and a 40-hour work week in a full-time capacity.

The Deputy Manager will oversee safeguarding, EYFS and Ofsted readiness, staff development, family engagement, and resource management while promoting a positive, inclusive culture and career progression in a fast-growing international

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 childcare qualification and experience in management within Early Years.
• Level 2 Maths and English qualifications required if Level 3 obtained after 2014.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursery operations to ensure smooth day-to-day running and maintain high standards of care and compliance.
• Manage and develop staff through supervision, coaching, training, and appraisals.
• Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and oversee safeguarding practices and staff training.
• Maintain health and safety compliance including risk assessments and fire drills.
• Build strong relationships with families and provide exceptional customer service.
• Ensure EYFS and Ofsted compliance and lead inspection readiness.
• Drive high-quality teaching and learning and monitor learning journeys.
• Oversee staffing and resource management and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Support nursery growth and occupancy through tours, events, and admissions collaboration.
