CrossReach is recruiting a Care Worker at Cameron House in Inverness to support up to 30 residents living with dementia. You will provide practical and personal care, assist with daily routines, meals and mobility, and help residents stay as independent as possible.
No prior experience is required. We will support you to achieve SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, and you must meet PVG and SSSC requirements. You’ll work as part of a caring team in a Christian ethos environment.
Cameron House is a specialist residential care home in Inverness for up to 30 older people living with dementia. Built around a secure courtyard garden, with an additional enclosed sensory garden and outdoor spaces, the home is designed to provide a safe, comfortable and reassuring environment. Strong community links, personalised activities and a focus on promoting residents' rights, independence, interests and relationships are an important part of everyday life.
As a Care Worker with CrossReach, you’ll help people with their everyday needs while encouraging them to stay active, involved and as independent as possible. You’ll provide practical and personal support, get to know the people you care for and understand what matters to them.
It’s a varied, hands‑on role where you’ll work closely with colleagues to provide care that reflects each person’s needs, preferences and choices.
You’ll enjoy working with people, communicate clearly and bring patience, kindness and a thoughtful approach to supporting others. You’ll take time to listen and adapt your approach to different needs and preferences.
You don’t need previous experience in care to apply. We’re interested in people who are dependable, willing to learn and ready to take responsibility for providing good‑quality care. If you don’t already hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, you’ll be supported to work towards achieving it as part of your development with CrossReach.
You’ll need to be comfortable providing personal care, working as part of a team and responding to people’s individual needs. You’ll also need to meet the relevant PVG and SSSC registration requirements.
At CrossReach, we believe quality care begins with understanding each person and recognising what matters to them. You’ll be part of an organisation committed to providing compassionate, individualised care that supports people to live as independently as possible.
But we also know that your training and development is important to you, and as well as a contribution to your professional membership fees, we are keen to support you in making the right steps to learn, grow and develop in ways that are right for you.

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
