Cameron House, an Inverness dementia care home, seeks a Relief Care Worker to provide compassionate, personalised support that helps residents maintain independence and enjoy meaningful daily activities.
You will join a caring team, follow care plans, and contribute to consistent, person-centred care across shifts. PVG/SSSC checks and progression toward SVQ Level 3 are part of the role.
Cameron House is a specialist residential care home in Inverness for up to 30 older people living with dementia. Built around a secure courtyard garden, with an additional enclosed sensory garden and outdoor spaces, the home is designed to provide a safe, comfortable and reassuring environment. Strong community links, personalised activities and a focus on promoting residents' rights, independence, interests and relationships are an important part of everyday life.
At Cameron House, we support people living with dementia, recognising that everyone has their own experiences, strengths, abilities and aspirations. As a Relief Care Worker, you'll provide compassionate, personalised care that helps people maintain their independence, make choices and enjoy meaningful everyday experiences.
Relief working offers the flexibility to take on available shifts that fit around your other commitments. You'll work alongside our established care team, getting to know the people we support and helping provide consistent, thoughtful care whenever you're on shift.
You'll be compassionate, patient and curious, with a genuine interest in supporting people living with dementia. You'll recognise that everyone experiences dementia differently and be willing to adapt your approach to their individual needs, preferences and communication.
You'll be comfortable joining an established team, following care plans and building positive relationships. You'll also be dependable, adaptable and confident asking questions or sharing observations to help maintain consistent standards of care.
Previous experience in specialist dementia care is welcome but not essential. What matters is your willingness to learn, your respect for individual choice and your commitment to providing thoughtful, personalised support.
You'll need to be willing to work towards an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, with training and support provided by CrossReach. Relevant PVG Scheme membership and SSSC registration requirements also apply.
At CrossReach, we value individuality, collaboration and continuous learning. You'll be part of a team committed to helping people living with dementia enjoy fulfilling lives, with opportunities to develop your knowledge and confidence through learning aligned with Scotland's Promoting Excellence Framework.
Relief working also gives you the flexibility to balance available shifts with your other commitments while contributing your skills to meaningful care.
Bring your compassion and commitment to CrossReach.
