Job summary

Helping Hands is seeking a dedicated Care and Training Practitioner to lead and develop our field care teams in Maidstone and the surrounding region. You’ll coach carers from interview through onboarding, model our values, and uphold high standards of care across the branch.

This role blends hands-on visits with leadership, ensuring accurate care plans, compliant processes, and excellent customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Care Assistant and desire to progress into leadership.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a roadworthy insured vehicle.
• Strong communication and supportive, people-centered leadership.

Responsibilities

• Train, mentor and support new carers to deliver exceptional care.
• Assist the branch with compliance, auditing and documentation.
• Complete spot checks and supervisions to maintain high standards.
• Visit customers to review care plans for accuracy and safety.
• Carry out risk assessments with professionalism.
• Support on-call duties as required by the branch rota.
