Job summary

Helping Hands is seeking a Care and Training Practitioner to train new carers from interview to onboarding, coaching the team and maintaining quality and compliance. You’ll support on-call duties and ensure care plans stay accurate and person-centred.

The role blends field visits with branch collaboration, offering growth within a nationwide, award-winning care provider. A full UK driving licence is required to visit customers.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Care Assistant.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle.
• Strong communication and supportive approach to teamwork.
• Keen eye for detail and ensuring compliance and quality.
• People-first mindset: calm, kind and ready to lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Train, mentor and support new carers so they can deliver extraordinary care.
• Assist the branch with compliance, auditing and documentation.
• Carry out spot checks and supervisions to uphold high standards.
• Visit customers to review and update care plans to stay person-centred and safe.
• Conduct risk assessments with clarity and professionalism.
• Support on-call duties as needed by the branch rota.
