Job summary

Lifeways in Burton-on-Trent is seeking a Care Team Leader to help lead a dedicated team delivering high-quality, person-centred support in the local community.

You will work closely with the Service Manager to guide and motivate staff, ensuring excellent care delivery while promoting independence and dignity for those we support. This is a hands-on leadership role with opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards one.
• Experience as a Care Team Leader, Senior Support Worker, Support Worker or Carer.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Experience supporting and motivating others.
• Passion for delivering person-centred care.
• Confidence using basic IT systems and maintaining records.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate your team to provide outstanding care and support.
• Support staff development through coaching, supervisions and mentoring.
• Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new colleagues.
• Promote independence, choice and dignity for the people we support.
• Liaise with families, health professionals and external agencies.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with care standards.
• Help create a positive, supportive and inclusive environment for both colleagues and the people we support.
