Job summary

Lifeways Brighton is seeking an experienced Care Team Leader to join our dedicated service. You will lead a team of Support Workers, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care for people in the local community and work alongside the Service Manager to drive outcomes.

The role is full-time (37.5 hours) with rota-based shifts 7:00am–2:30pm and 2:30pm–10:00pm. A competitive hourly rate of £14.90 is offered, plus rewards and development opportunities within Lifeways.

Qualifications

• Experience as Care Team Leader or Senior Support Worker with NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
• Willingness to train and develop to progress within Lifeways service.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities to guide Support Workers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Support Workers.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.
• Support individuals with daily routines and personal goals.
• Conduct staff supervision, interviews and ongoing development.
• Promote best practices and safeguarding standards.
• Communicate effectively with staff, service users and external professionals.
• Maintain accurate records and use IT systems confidently.
