Job summary

Lifeways in Colchester is seeking a Care Team Leader to guide a dedicated team delivering person-centred care to individuals in our service. You will work alongside the Service Manager to ensure high-quality care and meaningful daily routines for those we support.

The role welcomes experienced Team Leaders or Senior Support Workers with an NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care, offering funded qualifications and development opportunities within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Care Team Leader or Senior Support Worker with NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
• Commitment to ongoing training and development opportunities.
• Willingness to progress within Lifeways and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Leading and mentoring a team of Support Workers
• Ensuring high-quality, person-centred care is delivered
• Supporting individuals with daily routines and personal goals
• Conducting staff supervisions, interviews, and ongoing development
• Promoting best practices and safeguarding standards

Care Team Leader – Colchester

Salary: £13.86 per hour

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Shifts: 7:30am–3:00pm, 3:00pm–9:30pm (rota-based)

Your Role as a Care Team Leader

Please note: You will be working on a rota basis, and shift patterns are assigned—you will not be able to select your own shifts.
