Job summary

Abbeyfield Living Society in Southampton is seeking a dedicated Care Team Leader (Senior Care Assistant) at Speedwell Court. You will monitor health and social care needs, manage care plans, administer medication, and support/train staff.

You must have Level 3 Health and Social Care or be progressing towards it; shifts include weekends; pay is £14.77–£15.24 per hour for 42 hours per week on a two-week rota.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Carer with some leadership responsibilities.
• Ability to write and update Care Plans.
• Competent in administering medications and supporting residents' health needs.

We are now looking for a dedicated Care Team Leader to join our team at Speedwell Court.

Role: Care Team Leader (Senior Care Assistant)
Location: Speedwell Court, Mansbridge Road, West End, Southampton.
Pay: £14.77 p/h - £15.24 p/h
Hours: 08.00-20.00
Shifts: 42 hours per week average. Based on a 2 week rolling rota of x3 shifts week 1 and x4 shifts week 2. Contracts include alternate weekend working.

The Role of Care Team Leader

• Our Care Team Leaders sit at the heart of what we do. Asthe recognised Senior Carer on a shift, you'll have overall responsibility forregular monitoring of thehealth, care and social needs of our residents.
• Preparation, implementation and review of their personal care plans, including the administering of medication.
• You'll supervise, support coachand developother team members, and liaisewith people involved in resident'scare, as well as with the residents themselves.Put simply, you'll ensureresidents'needs and wishes are at the centre of the care we provide.
• As the Senior Carer on that shift, you willtake the lead when staff or residents need help, such as in the event of an emergency.

About You

• You must be an experiencedCarer, ideally with a Level 3 qualificationin Health and Social Careor equivalent,or be committed to working towards this.
• As a Care Team Leader, you must be able to demonstrate good organisation and staff management skills. You'll already be skilled inwritingand updating Care Plans, and competent in the administration of Medication.
• Most of all, you'll be passionate and committed to providingexceptional care to our residents, their families and friends.
