Sense is seeking a Care Team Leader to join our supported living service at Newton Court in Peterborough. This is a full-time, permanent post, 37.5 hours per week, paying £27,983 per annum (£14.35 per hour). The role uses a two-week rota with mornings, evenings and weekends.

A full UK driving licence is essential; BSL Level 2 is desirable. This position is open to female applicants only, in line with legal requirements.

Here at Sense, we support people with complex disabilities to live the life they choose. We're looking for a Care Team Leader to join our supported living service at Newton Court in Peterborough on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week, at £27,983.00 per annum (£14.35 per hour). The shift pattern includes mornings, evenings and weekends on a two-week rota.

A full UK driving licence is essential for this role and BSL Level 2 qualification is desirable.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising a team of support workers, including carrying out regular supervision sessions and appraisals
• Coaching and guiding staff to maintain the highest standards of support
• Supporting rota management and the day-to-day running of the service alongside the Manager
• Supporting the recruitment and induction of new team members
• Supporting the people we support to take part in meaningful activities and access their communities
• Contributing to person-centred plans and guidelines, working alongside families and other professionals
• Keeping accurate records and ensuring safeguarding responsibilities are upheld

Who we're looking for

• Experience of working with adults with complex disabilities or sensory impairment
• Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role in a similar setting
• Experience of conducting supervisions and supporting with rota management
• A positive, person-centred approach and a genuine commitment to empowering the people we support
• A full UK driving licence is essential for this role
• BSL Level 2 is desirable for this role
