Job summary

Advance is hiring a Support Worker in Stubbington, Hampshire. The role covers 30 contracted hours per week across days, evenings and weekends, including sleep-ins.

You will support customers with learning disabilities/autism/complex needs to live the lives they choose and participate in daily activities, meals, appointments and social events. No prior care experience is required; values, compassion and a willingness to learn are key.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills with customers and colleagues
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Capable of completing accurate care records and documentation
• Able to follow Care Plans and Risk Assessments
• Able to read and write in English, literate and numerate

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and hygiene if required
• Support with meals, appointments, social activities and independent skills
• Maintain and update care plans and records
• Keep training up to date and comply with safeguarding requirements
• Provide a high standard of care to customers with learning disabilities/autism/complex needs
