Job summary

Jupiter Recruitment seeks a Service Quality Manager to oversee quality, compliance and audits across residential, nursing, homecare and specialist services. The role covers Weymouth, Bournemouth and Milford on Sea with occasional travel to other sites.

You will review governance, support robust improvement plans, and coach managers to embed changes. Strong CQC knowledge and auditing experience are essential for improving outcomes in care services.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a quality, compliance, auditing or senior operational role within adult social care.
• Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations and the regulatory framework.
• Experience of auditing care services and developing and monitoring improvement plans.
• The confidence to identify poor practice, challenge appropriately and support managers to make improvements.
• The ability to review information critically, identify risk and distinguish between isolated issues and wider systemic concerns.
• Strong written skills and the ability to produce clear, evidence-based reports.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively across several services.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for people receiving care.
• The ability to travel regularly between services.

Responsibilities

• Complete quality, compliance and service audits and identify areas for improvement.
• Review care documentation, governance systems and regulatory evidence.
• Support services to develop robust action plans after audits or inspections.
• Work with managers to embed improvements rather than just identifying changes.
• Monitor outstanding actions and challenge progress where needed.
• Prepare for or respond to CQC inspections and other regulatory activity.
• Identify emerging risks and escalate appropriately.
• Provide coaching and guidance to managers and teams.
• Follow up improvements to ensure sustained change.
• Promote a culture of learning, accountability and continuous improvement.
