Job summary

Blue Ribbon is seeking a Deputy Manager to lead care delivery for individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Mental Health needs in Burnley. You will support the Service Manager, ensure compliant operations, and drive staff development within a supportive, regulated environment.

You will oversee appraisals, rosters, budgeting, and the daily performance of the team while maintaining person-centred care plans and strong stakeholder relationships. A Level 5 Diploma pathway is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work towards Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care.
• Experience supporting individuals with Autism, Learning Disabilities, or Mental Health conditions.
• Strong understanding of CQC, H&S, and Safeguarding regulations.
• Experience working in complex care environments.
• Confident in people management, team leadership, and performance management.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and IT skills.
• Able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

Responsibilities

• Support the Service Manager with day-to-day service operations.
• Ensure appropriate staffing aligned to assessed needs.
• Oversee regulatory compliance (CQC, H&S, Safeguarding) and audits.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, induction and staff training.
• Manage supervisions, appraisals and day-to-day performance of team members.
• Promote a positive working culture and model best practice.
• Maintain person-centred care plans and lead consistency of care.
• Provide direct care when needed and liaise with external stakeholders.
• Monitor financial performance including rota management and budgeting.
• Utilise internal systems to maintain accurate records.
