Forum Family Practice in the community is recruiting a full-time care navigator and prescription clerk to work on the reception desk and the prescription line. You will greet patients, answer calls, arrange appointments, and process repeat medication requests.

Experience in a medical setting and handling prescription queries is preferred, with SystmOne experience a bonus. Strong IT skills, medical terminology knowledge and attention to detail are important.

Competenze

• GCSEs in maths and English (A–C)
• Experience in a medical setting and handling prescription queries
• SystmOne experience is a bonus

Mansioni

• Greet and direct patients and visitors professionally, and deal with their queries
• Answer incoming calls from patients and health professionals, transferring them or taking messages
• Make, rearrange and cancel appointments and maintain the appointment system on SystmOne
• Process prescription requests accurately and on time, liaising with other teams
• Answer the prescription line, deal with medication queries and promote online ordering for repeat medicines
• Manage repeat dispensing tasks and liaise with pharmacies
• Act as the central point of contact, distributing messages and enquiries to the clinical team and liaising with multidisciplinary staff and external agencies
• Deal with referrals to primary and secondary care
• Scan patient documents and keep patient records and recalls up to date
• Process incoming and outgoing post and carry out ad hoc administrative tasks requested by partners or management
• Run patient reports under the logging protocol, with costs aligned to each report
• Carry out data entry (in training), working the workflow within set timescales and routing clinical data to the right teams
