Job summary

Crystal Care Collection is seeking a proactive Care Manager to lead the home alongside the General Manager, delivering exceptional person-centred care and developing a high-performing team. You will mentor staff, oversee care delivery, ensure regulatory compliance with CQC, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining compassionate, dignified resident experiences.

Qualifications

• Holds NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
• Experience leading staff in residential/healthcare settings.
• Strong knowledge of person-centred care and regulatory requirements.
• Experience supporting CQC inspections and quality improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of Person Centred Software (PCS).
• Experience managing audits, care planning and compliance processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager with day-to-day leadership and operation of the home.
• Lead, motivate and develop the care team to deliver person-centred care.
• Monitor and evaluate care delivery, ensuring residents' needs are met through individualised care plans.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Social Care legislation, CQC standards and company policies and procedures.
• Conduct supervisions, appraisals and performance management conversations to support colleague development.
• Assist with recruitment, induction and ongoing training to build and retain a high-performing team.
• Monitor staffing levels and support effective rota planning to ensure safe service delivery.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and contribute to audits, action plans and service development.
• Promote a positive culture where compassion, dignity and respect are at the heart of everything we do.
