Job summary

Willowbrook Homecare Hyndburn is seeking a proactive Care Manager to support the Registered Manager and lead a branch delivering high-quality, person-centred homecare. You will ensure compliance with policies, contracts, and regulatory standards while optimising resources and service delivery.

You will manage referrals, oversee rostering and staff development, and contribute to a positive workplace culture. UK driving licence and willingness to participate in on-call duties are essential.

Qualifications

• To hold or be working towards a Level 4 Diploma in Health & Social Care Management (or equivalent).
• To hold a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a manager in domiciliary/social care.
• Good knowledge of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) approach to inspection.
• Experience in training, coaching, and mentoring care staff.
• Knowledge of rostering/scheduling systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and general IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the Hyndburn operations team with the delivery of Willowbrook’s high-quality service.
• Support the Registered Manager to maintain a positive workplace culture.
• Ensure referrals are managed efficiently in line with service contracts.
• Manage enquiries to the Hyndburn service with Care Coordinators and Field Care Supervisors.
• Liaise with the Care Plan lead on client care plans and risk assessments.
• Monitor staff training records and policy reading lists for compliance.
• Help recruit staff and conduct interviews.
• Roster services with Care Coordinators to ensure effective coverage.
• Prepare Hyndburn branch on-call rota two weeks in advance.
• Review Head Office mileage submissions and collate timesheets for payroll.
• Escalate safeguarding issues to the Registered Manager.
