Job summary

Cumberland Council is seeking a Personal Advisor in Workington to support care-leavers into adulthood. You will coordinate education, employment, housing and wellbeing services while building trusting relationships and empowering young people to reach their goals.

The role is permanent, full-time, with a salary of £39,481–£40,444 per year and a 37-hour week at West Cumbria House. DBS checks are mandatory.

Qualifications

• DBS check: Enhanced DBS check with a Children's Barred List.
• Experience supporting care-experienced young people.
• Ability to work collaboratively, empowering young people.

Responsibilities

• Support young people leaving care to make a successful transition into adulthood and independent living.
• Coordinate education, employment and training, housing, health and wellbeing support for care-leavers.
• Build positive relationships, listen to aspirations and help access opportunities and services.
