Job summary

North Lincolnshire Council invites applications for a Personal Advisor within the Leaving Care Team. You will work with care leavers aged 16–25, building positive relationships and providing practical and emotional support to help them move toward independence.

Using a strengths-based approach, you will help with life skills, access to education, employment and training, and coordinate Pathway Plans with social workers and partner agencies to ensure consistent, high-quality support.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with care experienced young people to make a positive difference.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build meaningful relationships.
• Ability to advocate for young people’s rights and needs and to work collaboratively with partners.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and contribute to Pathway Plans to ensure support is purposeful and reviewed.
• Provide practical and emotional support to help young people transition to independence.
• Offer guidance on budgeting, health and wellbeing, and accessing training, education or volunteering.
• Work with social workers, housing services, education providers and other partners to ensure high-quality support.
