Job summary

Greensleeves Care is seeking a Care Unit Manager to lead the care team and uphold high standards of resident care across our home(s). The role focuses on compliance, staff development and partnership with regulatory bodies to achieve excellent outcomes.

You will work closely with the Registered Manager to monitor quality of care, nutrition, mobility and person-centered plans for residents, ensuring a safe, compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• QCF Level 4 in care or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience of managing staff in a residential and dementia care home.
• Working knowledge of MCA and DOLS.
• High level of care knowledge.
• Understanding of person-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Registered Manager by leading the care team to meet care standards set by CQC and local contracts.
• Collaborate with the care team and Home Manager to resolve operational issues and develop action plans.
• Develop and maintain relationships with statutory bodies and contract monitoring teams to ensure compliance.
• Maintain relationships with professional partners to achieve clinical care outcomes and management objectives.

As a Care Unit Manager, you will;

• Assist the Registered Manager by leading the care team in achieving and where possible exceeding, care standards determined by CQC, Local Authority Contract Monitoring, and internal bench marking at the Home.
• Work with the care team and Home Manager to solve common operational issues and develop action plans to effectively improve the care and quality of the Home in accordance with Greensleeves Care policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with the statutory, government registration bodies, professional partners and contract monitoring teams to ensure that the home conforms to best practice guidelines and Trust expectation in the delivery of care to residents.
• Maintain close working relationships with professional partners to achieve successful clinical care outcomes, and achievement of management performance objectives.
