SDR in Petersfield, Hampshire, is seeking a Maintenance Operative to carry out general repairs and routine maintenance across our two care homes. You will work with the Estates team and Home Managers to keep buildings safe, clean and welcoming for residents.

The role offers £30,000–£35,000 per year, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, with induction, training, pension and staff benefits. A full UK driving licence is required and some hands-on maintenance experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Some previous experience in general maintenance or a hands-on role.
• A full UK driving licence and the ability to travel between the two care homes.

Responsabilités

• Carry out general building maintenance, minor repairs and basic decorating.
• Identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly, prioritising tasks according to urgency.
• Complete routine inspections and safety checks in line with company procedures.
• Identify and report hazards, defects and issues requiring specialist attention.
• Liaise with Home Managers, contractors and Estates team to coordinate repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate electronic records of completed work, inspections and outstanding jobs.
• Help ensure buildings, fixtures, fittings and communal areas remain safe, clean and presentable.
• Work respectfully around residents and staff, minimising disruption wherever possible.
