Job summary

Centrum Care Homes is seeking a proactive Maintenance Technician to service three care homes in the Teignmouth area, primarily based in Bishopteignton. You will keep our buildings safe and comfortable through hands-on maintenance and prompt fault repair.

Your responsibilities include routine maintenance, fixing leaks and faulty fittings, inspecting safety hazards, maintaining outdoor spaces, logging activities, and testing fire safety systems and water temperatures in line with health and safety

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical work and HVAC systems.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between three care homes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
• Vocational maintenance training preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on internal and external areas of the buildings.
• Respond to repair requests, addressing leaks, faulty appliances and fixtures.
• Conduct inspections to identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain outdoor areas including paving, walkways and waste storage areas.
• Conduct regular equipment checks and logging maintenance activities.
• Test fire safety systems and water temperatures in line with health and safety protocols.

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic and growing team, servicing three of our care homes in the Teignmouth area, primarily based in Bishopteignton. Location:

Bishopteignton & Teignmouth area

Hours:

32-40 hours per week

Salary:

£13 - £14.50 (dependent on experience and skills)
