Job summary

Barchester care home is seeking a Head of Maintenance to ensure a clean, well-maintained environment for residents and staff. You will lead maintenance across the building and grounds, coordinate with contractors, and support budget planning with the General Manager.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, at least one trade skill, a valid UK driving licence, and IT literacy. Flexibility in working hours is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with property maintenance.
• At least one trade skill and the ability to undertake a wide range of tasks.
• Full UK driving licence, IT literacy, and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance team across care home and grounds.
• Oversee maintenance tasks and plan ahead for preventative work.
• Liaise with contractors on specialist jobs outside the team scope.
• Support the General Manager with annual budget planning.
