Job summary

Bupa UK is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant at Harts House Care Home, Woodford Green, to support our kitchen team. The role is a permanent contract, 40 hours per week, with shifts across 8am-6pm, 10am-6pm, or 7am-3pm.

You will plate meals, assist chefs, and ensure prep areas stay clean while maintaining high dining standards for residents. The job emphasizes teamwork and resident comfort.

Qualifications

• A passion for food with previous experience working in a kitchen.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate required.
• You understand high standards in dining and communicate with residents.

Responsibilities

• Act as the link between the main kitchen and residents.
• Assist chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and keep prep areas clean.
• Monitor stock rotation and follow COSHH/HACPP guidelines.
• Assist with catering for events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
