Job summary

Harts House Care Home in London is seeking a passionate Kitchen Assistant on a bank basis to support the kitchen team and deliver a dining experience for residents.

Role is full-time equivalent with bank/zero-hour arrangements; the position supports the main kitchen and requires good communication with care home teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen and delivering good service to residents.
• Comfortable communicating with kitchen and care home teams.

Responsibilities

• Link between the main kitchen and residents and ensure meals are plated.
• Assist chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and keep areas clean.
• Monitor stock rotation and comply with COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
• Assist with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.

Salary: £12.75 - £13.75 per hour (depending on experience) | Bank - Zero hour contract

Qualifications

A passion for food with previous experience working in a kitchen and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. Deliver excellent service at each meal and make our residents feel at home. Comfortable communicating with kitchen and care home teams, cherishing moments with residents.
