Job summary

Aurem Care Shared Services Limited is seeking a Head Chef to lead the kitchen team in our care home. You will coordinate all kitchen operations, ensure meals meet high standards, and are delivered on time while catering to residents' needs.

We offer a full-time contract, 40 hours per week, with a starting rate of £15.16 per hour (£31,532 per year). Benefits include life insurance, DBS check, on-site parking, pension, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Head Chef in similar environment.
• Ability to plan balanced menus and meet dietary requirements.
• Strong leadership and mentorship abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate kitchen operations to meet standards and deadlines.
• Oversee hygiene, safety, staffing, cleaning and waste management.
• Recruit, train and develop kitchen staff.
• Manage food ordering and stock levels.
• Ensure HACCP documentation is complete and compliance maintained.
• Prepare menus within budgets and consult with residents on dietary needs.
